The Office of Academic Planning and
Faculty Development assists the Provost and Vice President
for Academic Affairs
in administering the academic programs and services of
the University. The Director works with faculty and academic
college deans in program planning, policy development,
curriculum change, and course development. Additionally,
the Director oversees a number of initiatives related to
the academic performance and success of students, monitoring
course offerings, academic advising, student retention,
and graduation rates. The Director serves as the University’s
liaison to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and
administers the University’s Endowed Professorship
and Chair programs. The Academic Success Center/Junior
Division, and University
College report to the Director of Academic Planning and
Faculty Development.
A number of University publications are produced in the Office: the Undergraduate and Graduate Bulletins, the Faculty Handbook, and the Staff Handbook. |
