| The Office of Academic Planning and Faculty Development assists the Vice President for Academic Affairs in administering the academic programs and services of the University. The Director assists the University faculty and the Deans of the academic colleges in matters related to program planning, faculty workload, curriculum change, and course development. Additionally, the Director oversees a number of initiatives related to the academic performance and success of students, monitoring course offerings, academic advising, student retention, and graduation rates. The Director serves as the University’s liaison to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, administers the University’s Endowed Professorship and Chair programs, and sits on the Board of Regents Statewide Articulation Committee. Junior Division reports to the Director of Academic Planning and Faculty Development. A number of University publications are produced in the Office of Academic Planning and Faculty Development: the Undergraduate and Graduate Bulletins, the Faculty Handbook, and the Staff Handbook. |
